Great views and tough trail breaking. Was happy to see the road well-packed and also a surprise packed snowshoe path that mysteriously appeared from nowhere at the far end of the field that's near the trailhead and then vanished about 0.8 mi in. Still have no idea where it came from but was glad to have part of it broken out. It was very tough trail breaking the rest of the way but I made it to the summit and down to the ledges. The upper section is not well-marked, if at all, and was challenging to follow with all the drifted snow. Snowshoes will be needed! |
