With the latest storms having dumped a lot we weren’t quite sure where to head and expected to break trail the full distance. Moose Mountain Trail from North headed South was actually not too bad -light trail breaking at the beginning and a bit more on the ridge where it had drifted in. A really stunning hike along that ridge! We had come south the north previously so just went back to our previous ending point at the shelter by pass. Didn’t look like the trail had seen much use past that point south -and no tracks out to the shelter. Conditions were getting sticky in the sunny spots (no surprise) - all in all -a really great time out there! |
