Beautiful late winter day to head up Cannon. The trail is a beautiful packed track . Parts of the trail cross the ski glades and today there were lots of skiers and riders having a blast. They were all friendly and watching out for others on the trails. I was careful not to get in their way, gravity was definitely on their side. I saw several hikers all wearing snowshoes except a group of 4 who were postholing in spikes. The trails were still a bit soft and my Tubbs Flex VRT had perfect traction for up and down this steep route. Having televators is surely a bonus too. Stopped at the lodge for a nutritious lunch of potato chips and whoopie pie. Nice having that lodge for a pit stop. 12 for 12 months for me on Cannon now. |
