If you don't succeed at first...attempted PATN on Thursday. Summitted on Sunday. Tough climb through deep snow with lots of spruce traps. Someone has taped the route above 3000' which is kind of a bummer, but I was too tired to tear the tape down. We just hiked right up the east ridge. No compass or GPS is required. Bloody obvious. The canister was frozen shut. |
