Road and parking area are plowed but snow-covered. Lots of clearing and earthwork has been going around the trailhead but the sign is still there. |

Blue microspike seen hanging on a branch in the middle section of the trail. I meant to grab it on the way out but missed it. |

Started in spikes as everything was hard-packed down low but switched to snowshoes after about a mile as the snow was softer higher up. Broke trail through a couple inches of fresh snow. Lots of snow in the woods and snowshoes will likely be needed for a while. |
