Comments
Comments: We had a great day on the trail. It's a steady ascent, and a quick descent. It was a picture perfect, late winter day with blue skies and views for miles. The trail was in great shape, thanks to the trail angels who packed it down after last week's storm. Snowshoes were needed all the way, and the trail conditions were ideal for them! Spring snow is soft, and snowshoes helped pack the trail down. Be warned, there were a few postholes thanks to a crew of teens who came up in bean boots, and some drifts in the last 10%. I can't imagine this hike would be enjoyable in spikes or bare booting.
