Comments
Comments: Hiked up a well traveled AT in micro spikes and on spur trail to lean to. Then snowshoed SW in wide open hardwoods to start of ascent. Bear Hill cliff bands appear intimidating but are easily traversed in mostly easy, with a few moderate, grades. Nothing steep. Recognized high point found.
Followed our tracks back a short while, and then bw to Holts Ledge summit in wide open hardwoods in easy/moderate grades. Returned N on AT. From summit to viewpoint ledges, AT had little activity.
bw surface conditions - ideal, with zero breaking effort
AT conditions up to ledges - nice snowshoe track, sometimes a bit uneven, no post holes
