 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
This was a challenge. The road into trailhead parking is possible with a SUV, but the small parking area itself is icy and the snow is deep. Easy to get stuck - be aware! And perhaps bring a shovel and sand / salt just in case. |

A great day out, despite some initial issues with the car getting stuck. The trail is firm, so used snowshoes for a while but soon switched to micro-spikes to the summit. Snowshoes mostly went for the ride. Some minor post-holing on the sides of the trail. Great views of Moosilauke at the top, with the Kinsman's and Franconia Ridge in the middle distance. |
