Beautiful March day - snow was firm in the AM but became soft/mushy by mid afternoon. A morning ascent can still be done in microspikes, later excursions will treat the trail better on snowshoes and keep you from postholing. Bluebird day, fantastic views. Follow your GPS near the peak, as there are some well-tracked off-trail pathways to various outlook points. |
