Comments
Comments: Having more recent trail reports, I waved off the Ossies and decided to bang out these two today. A 7 am and 22 degree start worked out as planned and provided a hard packed solid surface. I spiked up to the first steeps, a bit beyond the sign then televatored with snowshoes from there. The trail was pretty solid with loose stuff here and there. Gorgeous weather and calm winds today. I choose to wear snowshoes on the descent and all the way out, not wanting to deal with any balling. I stayed on my feet except for an inadvertent but fun butt slide for a stretch. I guess that constitutes a fall. I met five hikers ascending as I was descending - three with snowshoes from the sign for the televator action and two with spikes which didn't have any problems. Great to chat with them all and good to see Linda and Madeline again. Happy trails.
