Comments
Comments: Don't be fooled by the valleys or sides of the roads; there's a lot of snow in the Belknaps. I would estimate the snowpack at 1 to 4 feet deep for this hike. The fence around the geo science thingy on the road is still under the snowpack.

I wore snowshoes roundtrip and can't imagine it without. Some postholers did some damage in a few places and looked like they had an awful time, and wouldn't be able to do the trails listed.

Mt. Rowe Trail up to Yellow had seen some traffic. Yellow was a mess from postholes. Ridge Trail had been smoothed by skiers and snowshoers. North Spur had seen a lot of traffic. Benjamin Weeks only had a single set of old snowshoe tracks, so it was slow going.

Beautiful afternoon with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 50s.
