Comments
Comments: Even after the week of spring weather, a lot of snow remains. 2 feet of base down low, increasing to 4 to 6 feet up high.

Trail was fairly firm this morning with temperatures dipping into the 20s overnight. Noted quite a few recently installed postholes by descending Microspikers yesterday. Oy.

Even with the firm conditions, I found mountain snowshoes to be the way to go. Good bite on the steeps.

No recent tracks on Sabbaday Brook or Scaur Ridge. Some older tracks coming up from the North Slide.

The current track varies from the trail in quite a few places, including some areas of future spruce traps. It's risky to be up here without snowshoes, even if it's firm in the morning.
