I parked in the winter lot (next to the Irving). 4 cars were in the summer lot upon my return, including one parked on the roadway next to a No Parking sign. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nothing new, compared with my trail report last month! |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
When you can’t see your approximately 100lb dog but you hear a hiker yelling “Off me! Get off me!,” it is rude to tell off the hiker as if the hiker was wrong and the unrestrained jumping/barking/growling dog was right. Very rude. |

| Comments: |
Soft trail. Those of us in snowshoes were packing down the trail nicely, those who wore light traction were postholing. Rather significantly. I was happy to quickly snowshoe down and away from that mania!!
Although the forecast was for significant snow last night, there was a trace at the trailhead and about 3-4” new snow on Starr King and Waumbek, with easily managed drifts in between the two peaks. |
