Parked behind the Stewardship center on 25 in East Haverhill. I asked a person working at the center if we could park to hike the hill, he said it was OK to stay in that lot today. But, the parking for skiers/hikers was a hundred yards to the east. He was also very helpful letting us know the location of the bridge (west of the center & obstacle course behind) to cross, and pointed out the Kiosk with map, etc. |

Trail is a wide well maintained ATV trail / road. |

Coop really enjoyed the hike on the wide road. Gradual hike and easy for dogs. |

This property is also part of the Granite Backcountry Alliance ski glades; called the Pike Glades. Skier can easily skin up the road, and ski down the variety of what seemed to be nice glades. Saw multiple recent ski tracks; ascended just behind 2 skiers, and saw another heading up as we came down. It was nice chatting with all the skiers.
See above for the start of the trails. Plenty of snow on the trails today, and snowshoes were a must. Hiking up was relatively easy on wide packed trails. Some low snow sections at the lower levels, which may be bare of snow soon with warming weather. But, do not let this fool you, there is plenty of snow at the higher elevations. In fact, 2 of the skiers we encountered, were just skiing the upper glades. The register is easily located up a herd path behind the summit cabin. Thanks to N&C Foote for the new register as of this year. |
