First portion of the trail was generally blue ice and frozen granular, transitioning to boot-packed powder on the flats, and then some patchy snow up top.
Microspikes were adequate this afternoon on this trail with temperatures hovering around freezing. Trail may need to be put on the shelf until after mud season if Saturday's forecast holds.
Would advise snowshoes if continuing on the ridge. |
