Comments
Comments: Took my 3 kids up on the Ted’s - Cliff Trail - Carolyn’s trail loop and although we love this route, a good portion of the trails are a post holed mess. Temps were below freezing overnight and most of the day so the snowpack stayed solid for us making things easier. My kids were able to simply float on the unbroken snow to the side of the messy trail. I wore snowshoes for part but ended up switching back to spikes to manage the frozen post holes. Worst area was the upper portions of the Ted’s trail. Carolyn’s trail was better overall. Once the snow starts to soften, snowshoes will be essential.
