Tin Mine Road, Tin Mine Loop, Tin Mountain Summit Loop, Main Route & Loop to Pond,
Very nice shorter, easier hike. We took the clockwise route to ascend the steepest trail to the summit. Couple of icy sections; couple of completely dry sections; monorail, especially in areas facing south, but overall a soft trail with some post-holing; wore spikes.
Views of Thorn and beyond (Moats, Attitash, etc.) were great. Trails in the spruce were wonderful. Just took a quick look into the mine, and the cabin foundation was under snow, but great overall hike with something for everyone. |
