Entrance road was challenging if you don't have good clearance and 4WD. Parking was rutted and snow covered. |

This was our stopper. Only .4 mi onto the trail. We could see that several others had made it to the banking, but none had made it across. Over a foot of snow on top of the rocks and no tracks on the other side. |

We wore SS on the ski trail, though obviously many others didn't. Bare boots make for nasty ski conditions, so why not? Since we didn't want to hike all day with wet feet, we headed elsewhere. Did not see anyone who had gone Sandwich mt trail turn back, though. |
