some stepovers between the Valley-Bell road and Old Stage. I think I can get them all next week with a Katana. The upper Mack Ridge (between Red-Orange and Round Pond) is getting more and more flooded. |

 | Comments: |
The trail was bare/minimal snow until high on the ridge. A bit of snow, deep in spots, coming down from the Ridge to Round Pond, but it won't last long. Neither snowshoes nor spikes would have helped enough to be worth the bother. Coming down, we took the Jeep Road, which is hardened and icy from snowmobiles. Spikes were useful. This snow and ice will be gone soon too. |
