Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: With AWD, I didn't attempt to get up the short road segment to the trailhead - I parked along Route 49 right across from trailhead sign - plenty of space to pull completely off pavement.

Surface Conditions: Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: First crossing - Drakes Brook on Drakes Brook Trail was a bit icy - no snowbridge - was able to rock hop with care. Later in the day Drakes Brook near base of Sandwich Mtn Trail was half-bridged - I was ready to exit to the road rather than try to cross the brook if it were too high but it was OK.
