The trail conditions to each peak were fantastic, spikes were sufficient.
The trail connecting the two peaks was a different story however. Sloppy, hazardous mess. Too treacherous for spikes. It was a posthole ridden, wet sloppy mess, sliding all over the place, just asking for a blown out knee. If I had to do it all over again, I'd descend from Jackson, then come up the approach to Webster, I'd avoid the connecting trail entirely. |
