Comments
Comments: It’s turning spring in the southern whites. Consolidated snow covered trail for most of the ascent. Some
Ice covered rocks on the ledges in the morning that was melt water by the afternoon descent. Snow cover is minima down low. I barebooted the ascent in good lugged boots and did not need traction. Spikes and snowshoes stayed on the pack until the descent where spikes were helpful. Postholing was not an issue today. It appeared to have been recently holed up however, perhaps on the very warm Friday afternoon prior. Sections of sunny stretches were a mess of bare wet rock and mashed potato snow. Things will change quickly on the Blueberry Ledge trail this week with the warm temps. Thaw and refreezing likely.

The first time I submitttd this report, it appears to have been deleted after being posted. Let’s try again.
