 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Can’t enter from Campton right now due to snow. Entering from Rumney is fine. The unlaced road right before the trail is muddy and grooved. Our minivan made it through fine. We could see that it could be a problem if a little worse. |

 | Comments: |
We had a combination of Hillsound trail crampons and microspikes for four of us. We weighed bringing the snowshoes and didn’t as we tested out the trail. We could have used them, but we just stepped carefully to avoid the many postholes that had been there for a while. The trail was slippery in the steeper parts. We also didn’t have our poles. It was fine. We agreed that snowshoes probably would have been better for the descent, especially since we were heading down later than planned. We didn’t need them at all going up. |
