Comments
Comments: Robie and I had a great day. Temperatures were about right and most mud was frozen tight into the afternoon. Several sections of Willey Range Trail between A-Z and Field have black ice as well as Avalon Trail between Field and Avalon. We negotiated both with out pulling out micro spikes but we probably should have used them.

Robie suggested that I stop and smell the flowers on Avalon and it was worth while as the views were stupendous.
