Comments
Comments: Ted's trail lower down was snow free, but after than there was a solid covering of snow (6" deep or so) in shaded areas (which was most areas), on all trails. So, although I had planned to go over and back to Pack, I headed back on the Cliff trail upon reaching it. Spikes would not have been much use, (and of course would have been balling badly), and although it would have been possible to get over to Pack and back (if a peak bag were at stake) , it was just a tiring PITA to sink in with every step, and I cam for fun this day. Note that I took Ted's trail up to the upmost crossover to Caroline's trail, where I switched over. Caroline's trail was either a running stream or solid snow the rest of the way up, as was the Wapack down to the Cliff trail junction. Cliff wasn't too bad, after the initial hundred yards or so, and of course being out in the open the cliffs were fine.
