Comments
Comments: Most parts of the trail lower down were snow free. A relatively stable monorail for parts of the trail was seen, though this might not last given the temperatures. Some flooded areas in the wooded part of the trail due to melting snow. The slab sections had running water and were a bit slippery, probably from melting snow also. Upper part of trail near South Moat peak had very soft, fairly deep snow that likely requires snowshoes to avoid deep postholes. This also seemed to be the condition of the trail along the ridgeline to Middle Moat, but did not investigate further beyond South Moat summit due to time constraints. Windy day at the summit, but spectacular views!
