Comments
Comments: Hike AT to the TJS. Dry, wet, running water easy to avoid. Bushwhacked south from the cabin to approximately the HOL, then headed westerly. Easy to get around ledges (previous reports cover this). Descended easterly to pick up the AT again. All B/W in open woods, pretty much dry ground with scattered snow patches, easy to avoid wet areas. Views from opening in trees south of summit, otherwise limited views through trees.

Took AT to Holts Ledge, great east viewing from several openings, and from the extension proceeding to the top of the ski slopes. This section of AT was covered with patches icy monorail, lots of running water, and patches of snow, limited dry trail; most easy to avoid. Headed down ski slopes, primarily under the lift line; dry ground. Not sure how many more days these conditions will last.
