Went out in the heat of the day to enjoy the sun. First shorts and tank top hike of the year. A fair amount of snow still in the saddle between peaks. Ice chunks remain in shaded rocky areas. I was able to do the whole loop without spikes. There were a couple spots where I used my poles to help from slipping. Some of the ledges were pretty wet and slippery. Overall pretty good conditions. |
