Comments
Comments: The snow pack is rapidly melting due to the warm temperatures and I can imagine will be worse with today's forecast.
Snowshoes!!!!! The only way to make this hike enjoyable and to preserve the trail would be to wear snowshoes although it is going to be on and off throughout the hike.
Multiple little water crossings are present due to the rapid snowmelt.
Overall this is a beautiful trail and I am assuming that in the summer months it would be amazing when all the mountains turn to green.
We had the summit to ourselves besides a couple of grey jays.
3 hikers on the way up besides us and 1 on the way down.
There wasn't really a monorail as described above
Perfect Thursday hike
