| Comments: |
Up and down via the same route, 8.4 miles and 4100 feet. Minimal snow and ice, microspikes came along for the ride today. Most ice I encountered was in the .2 or 3 miles before Madison Springs. There was enough rock showing still to get by without additional traction. Could change with a few cold nights though, as there was a lot of running water here and there, so I'd still carry traction. The famous Madison Springs moose was hanging around the hut still. There when I left to hike up to the summit, gone when I returned. |
