It was too nice of a day not to hike today! We wanted to avoid the slushy, post hole mess that would be in the Whites so we decided to take the path less traveled up one of the most traveled mountains in the world :) What a day! We really loved the variety in the trails we took today, some nice woods walking, conifer forest sections, scrambly sections towards the summit, Monte Rosa summit weather vane, Fairy Spring, etc. Saw maybe 30 people all day and half of those were on the summit. We would've /could've spent a few hours on the summit if we weren't on a time crunch. Top 5 day in mountains for sure! |
