Trail starts very road-like in mix hardwood and then turns to a ledgy wander thru mostly oak with too many views to count. In the last 3-4 tenths before the summit it switches first to hemlock and then to birch and hobblebush. Looks alot like engine hill. The high ridge trail is grassy and very gentle. I was headed to Faraway but decided to BW around the swamps looking for critters instead. |
