Comments
Comments: First half of the way to the ledges on the other side of the summit was great- barely and snow ice, mostly dry in the AM, bare boots. About halfway to the ledges that changed and it became unstable monorail posthole city. I was sinking even in snowshoes. I had almost dumped my snowshoes earlier in the hike and thank goodness I didnt... it was a sufferfest through the snow on the way up, much better coming down since I mostly could tell where to step at that point... didnt see anyone else on trail, one person who I presume went for a walk down hogan with his dog when I was getting ready in the lot, and one guy carrying a backpack with things that I couldnt make out coming up hogan on my way out. Lots of big moose tracks along the trail and apparently the moose visited the ledges since there was a bunch of poo where I went to sit down and enjoy the view!!! I was happy I didnt run into him. Saw some grouse droppings and a grouse fluttering away as I approached. happy spring!!! e
