| Water Crossing Notes: |
The trail as 6 water crossings. Only the first has a bridge. The two crossings after the bridge were treacherous since everything was covered with a thin layer of ice. Microspikes and poles helped. You must be able to balance on single and double logs over rapidly moving water! |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The first section of the trail is washed out with a deep gully. Other sections near the stream have eroded. No significant blowdowns to encountered. |

| Comments: |
Microspikes are a must for current trail conditions. In addition to aiding the stream crossings there is a significant ice flow in the trail near treeline below Haystack. The ridge from Haystack to Lincoln is fine with little ice and only trace amounts of snow. No traction needed here. |
