Sawyer Pond Road to the TH is 80 to 90 percent snow free.Early this morning mono rail was stable; coming out was a challenge but still stable for me , it is dissapearing fast and lots of ground is showing. At higher elevation there is snow to be found ! Water was still high today so care in crossings. At some point ascending Signal Ridge the trail was all snow . Rock spikes used on lower elevations ,snowshoes ascending to summit , new snow was beautiful about 1/2 inch .The trails are tedious these days so bring everything and use what works , be safe and alert as snow is no longer stable and water is high and everywhere. The melting is coming along! Happy Spring ! |
