 | Comments: |
Great day for this hike, not too cold or too windy. We carried spikes and snowshoes but didn’t use either. The section from Middle Moat to the Red Ridge junction was tedious, but wasn’t worth putting on the shoes. 80-90 % of the time we could stay on top of the monorail or walk in old holes. Some post holing was inevitable. Once on the Red Ridge only short patches of snow. Two of the stream crossings on the Red Ridge trail took caution and wet boots. |
