Another gorgeous day on the ridge! Spikes went on between second and third water crossings. Stable monorail until treeline, where spikes came off. Barefoot until back in to trees on the way down. The two little weasel like creatures at that climbed out pant legs! Descent on obp was mixed bare ground and mostly stable monorail. We never postholed. No good choice of foot wear, you want your old spikes. Some water and mud, but nothing bad today. Much better spring conditions than we thought. Warm, sunny, light wind and excellent company to hike with. |
