Water Crossing Notes

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two fairly new tree tops covering the trail. At about .5 miles there is a small tree with buds hanging on the trail, and At about 1 mile there is an evergreen top hanging over some rocky bend. Both are easy enough to navigate under or around
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Yes folks we did see one dog on this ‘no dog allowed’ State Park. He was on a leash and he was beautiful, but….
Bugs
Bugs: Yes folks, the black flies are starting to fly around our heads on the descent! They weren’t biting yet and they were a bit groggy but they were visible and will soon be annoying!!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found my joy today, and a familiar face at the summit. She had ascended via White Dot and we talked her into descending Dublin Trail with us. We really didn’t have to twist her arm.

Comments
Comments: Great day on Monadnock. The trail was extremely dry for the most part. There was some mud where you’d expect it before and after you reach the amphitheater. Most was easy to avoid without going off the trail which is preferred. This is a great trail and much less travelled than from the state park. You have great views to the north and west along the open last half of the trail. There were quite a few more people on this trail today than I usually see during the week, but everyone was so nice and enjoying the beautiful day. I love this mountain and I love the Dublin Trail in every season! Lots of great scrambles and open trail to the summit. The views of Pumpelly are magnificent from this trail. Great day with great friends on Monadnock!!
