Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Two water crossings easily done - fist crossing you'll need to step on rocks under just a little water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: These trails have not seen much blowdown clearing maintanence in a while - Langdon trail 20+ blowdowns, Mount Parker Trail 30+ blowdowns - most have been there a while though some newer ones - A mix of stepovers, duckunders, scramble over or skirt around; Size ranges from a few inches in diameter with most 1 foot+ in diameter. Trails might need a little TLC.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Would be a great hike for the canines - lots of water down low on Langdon trail though no water up higher unless you want to detour to the shelter

Comments
Comments: A great little summit! WMG indciates there are excellent views from the summit (actually ledges a few yards beyond) and this may actually understate the view - an amazing view of Washington and the southern presidentials looking up the Rocky Branch, that and a unique view of peaks around Crawford Notch and a view of towards Attitash and Conway to boot! A nice and gentle trail - up and down in 4.5 hours including more that 1/2 hour at the summit.

After heading up I can see this is not a heavily traversed trail and it hasn't seen much maintenance. First mile is on a not so scenic logging road with lots of logging activity along the route - it is intersected by a number of other roads - there are signs to keep you on the path - above this you get a nice walk through woods to the summit - for those looking there is a sign high up on a tree at .3 miles pointing the way to Cave Mtn. Some water/mud on trail mostly on logging road in first mile. After that trail was dry though with exception of a few spots of water but the entire way there was a lot of leaf cover - That and heading up Oak Hill and especially up Parker there are any number of blowdowns you'll need to get over or around though nothing was really challenging. Definitely worth a visit!
