Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hopping is doable for all the muddy and or standing water you might encounter.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One blazed tree is uprooted, thankfully not across the trail, but away from the trail. It's located after the first significant ledge opening and before the start of the "bouldery" area.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One off leash at summit.
Bugs
Bugs: 2 mosquitoes.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Saw one larger sized microspike and one knitted glove at the trailhead. Found a woolen hat on my descent and left on the Kilns sign.

Comments
Comments: Stunningly beautiful day on the trail and summit. There are a few water crossings, but they are easily avoided, or just wade on through. Could see pretty far in the distance once on the ledges. Lots of groups hiking together. Laughed at the "phone" tree -- there is a nice flat granite ledge in the woods and it's a great place to stop and grab a selfie or a group of people. However, if you are hiking solo there's not an ideal way to grab a picture. There is a tree across from the stone with a notched vee that someone has conveniently pointed out. I didn't see it when I took my photos, but I saw it after I was packing up. A side trip to the kilns is a must-see.
