Comments
Comments: Mixed trail conditions:
Started with bare boots on the wet trail, donned light traction at the appearance of snow/ice. The majority of the ammuno trail under tree cover was a hike in the rain from the previous night light snowfall. The snowfall also laid a blanket over the established trail, may have meander off trail on the hut approach. Same story to the summit of Monroe, backtracked a few times to find the trail.
No issues on Crawford Path, light traction was fine, and Westside had not seen any traffic but it seemed that the snow had already seen alot of melt in the past, it just wasn't deep.
The cog path was the usual heart break on the knees, the top half was soft snow and the both half was mud.
Sun, clouds and no wind - perfect day!
