About 5 crossings on flume slide trail. Feet were already wet so we were not being too careful when crossing. It’s possible to stay dry but we did not. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
400 blowdowns between haystack and Liberty. Heavy ice caused major downed trees in this section. Hard to find the trail at times because trees all over the trail. |

Started at 7am, bareboots until .5 from the Greenleaf hut and kept them on until bottom of Flume. The ridge had a covering of snow and was getting slushy with the sun but not many exposed rocks. The section between haystack and Liberty was a downed tree apocalypse. The monorail was stable but we were walking through an active ice chip maker as ice fell from the trees. So many were downed from the heavy ice. Liberty to flume was in great shape and stable. We went down the slide based on a few other hikers intel and it was slow but fine. Water crossings got us a little wet for the last few miles but overall a fabulous sunny light wind day on the ridge. Glad to share the day with Angela proud member of the #hustledowncrew |
