Spikes on about 3500' on Airline. Good monorail, trees still dripping from recent snow. Soft, sometimes slippery snow above tree line. Good boot track. Very solid and substantial monorail on upper Valley Way. I carried snow shoes but never needed them. There is much soft, deep snow on the less traveled trails and snow shoes might be wanted there. I wanted to descend the Inlook but the upper Brookside had too much soft snow and ice. |
