A beautiful afternoon walk along the Greenway with a leisurely 3 P.M. start. From the parking, we first headed south to the cascades, which were in fine form today. This is always a pretty spot to sit and relax. We returned to the parking and then did a loop over Pitcher, ascending via Hubbard Hill Rd. and a new logging road that connects to the Greenway. Noted significant new logging north of the Pitcher summit.
As expected, trails were damp/wet with areas of standing water, but mud wasn't too bad. We managed to avoid any showers but could see them moving in from the summit of Pitcher. |
