 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The short section of Boulder Trail I was on is heavily eroded. Jesus Valley has a few trees down. Upper sections of the trail are heavily eroded. Sign is missing at the junction with Brook Trail. Brook Trail could use new blazes on the ledges but the corridor is so obvious and overused that it probably doesn't matter. Bay View is not an official trail but was in good shape. |

 | Comments: |
Sometimes I forget just how heavily-worn the trails on Mt. Major are as I don't usually visit here outside of winter. :(
Jesus Valley was pretty much wet from bottom to top. Lots of water is draining off the mountain on that side. I thought there might be some flooding at the pond was it was all good. Brook Trail was drying out quickly with the sun exposure. Bay View was a little muddy and slippery in spots but otherwise good.
Aside from a large group of kids on the summit who arrived at the trailhead by bus, I only saw a few other people. |
