 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Avoided Drakes Brook crossing on the way up by walking west on NH49 and crossing a bridge, then bushwhacked back to Sandwich Mountain Trail. Crawled across a fallen tree to get across on the way back at the end of Drakes Brook Trail. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Large, numerous blow downs on spur to Jennings Peak and from Jennings Peak headed up to Sandwich Dome. Turned around 0.6 miles from Sandwich Dome because the blowdowns were numerous and tedious. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
My dog did great (unlike us) with water crossing and blow downs, but I was worried a spike of a fallen tree was going to cut him. So we turned around. |

 | Comments: |
Bring a chainsaw or be prepared to get caught on all the blow downs! We had shoelaces, gators, backpacks, and clothing getting caught on the fallen trees and their branches! The rest of the trail was just a typical spring mix that was good! Waterproof boots and gators with spikes for about a mile was all that was needed! |
