Beautiful morning to get this in before the winds picked up. Fairly dry trail with some muddy spots down low. No ice until just before the spring, easy around. 1st real snow/ice at the last climb to Starr King.
I put spike on from King over to Waumbek & back as it warming up & trail was slick. Little bit of everything, ice/snow rotting/stable monorail but no real issues. Really warm at the view area with minimal wind. Had it to myself for a bit. 2 others showed up 1 finishing her grid today!!! Hung here for a while with them then down as the clouds rolled in & wind picked up. Lots of folks heading up, parking was packed. |
