 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked just beyond (roughly 200’) the historical white house on Mountain Rd., at a pullout where all four tires could get off the road. Walked south along the road for about 10-15 yards until I saw a good opening and went across the drainage ditch and into the woods on an ESE bearing on the summit. |

 | Comments: |
Upon entering the woods, I was immediately met with a rocky, moderate steep incline for about .2 miles, where I hit an old logging road. Followed that north for about 20 yards and saw another logging road heading east and took that all the way up to the ridge. Here I steered more northeast and found a fairly open spruce section and the summit canister.
From the summit, I noticed some ledges to the east and given this sunny day, decided to check them out. What great views to the south and east! Views of the Ayers Pond Peaks, Lovewell and the local lakes. Quite an unexpected treat.
I saw no white blazes or property postings anywhere on this line. Just beautiful open hardwood forest, spectacular stone walls that hold their own place in time and some great views. Took 20 minutes to get to the summit, I spent almost an hour up there exploring and enjoying. |
