Comments
Comments: We made a counterclockwise loop to Lucias Lookout. No signs at the start of the trail. From the day parking area, go up the road past the outhouses, there are light blue blazes. Continue past the parking spaces. At the sign for Balance Rock Trail on the left, go straight through the gate, blue blazes continue. There are signs at the 5 Summers/Bear Pond trail intersection. Blue blazes go up Bear Pond trail, which is actually a snowmobile trail. Bear Pond Trail was moderately wet and muddy. Monadnock Sunapee-Greenway was dry. First mile of the road section 5 Summers Trail was wet and muddy in places, dry after that. Nice views from both lookouts at Lucias Lookout. We saw trillium, dog toothed violets and spring beauties.
