Double pond trip!
No issues on the Kedron Flume Tr, with easy grades and then some short steep sections above the waterfall crossing. No snow or ice.
Much more snow on the Ethan Pond trail than expected - it was a series of 1-2 foot tall unstable monorails, alternating with mud/running water from the Willey Tr intersection to Shoal Pond intersection. ~5 blowdowns, some requiring pack removal. Slow going.
West side Tr doesn’t seem to get much use, but it was well blazed. No snow.
Shoutout to the thru hiker at Ethan Pond Shelter! Good luck in the Presis and beyond! |
